Dear KVPY Fellow,

We are reviewing all cases for continuation of the Fellowship for the next one year i.e. from August 1, 2020 to
July 31, 2021. As it was mentioned in the letter of award, continuation of your fellowship depends on the
following conditions:

a. The Fellow continues to study Basic Science courses in school/junior college/university,

and maintains a minimum level of academic performance of first class or 60% (50% for
SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate or equivalent grade points and the students has to
necessarily pass all the subjects prescribed for that particular academic year (two
semesters in case of semester system) and should have obtained the above specified
percentage of marks. In the course work, in each academic year, the marks/grades
will have to be certified by the Dean or Head of the Institution. The fellowship will
be discontinued if the above marks/grade is not obtained. However, if the fellow
passes all the subjects and obtains more than 60% ((50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in the
subsequent attempts years, the fellowship will be renewed only from that year onwards,
again with am the condition that the fellow should obtain 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD)
marks in aggregate every year. This is effective from 2012 awardees onwards. The
Student is eligible to receive the KVPY fellowship upto Pre-PhD level or 5 years
whichever is earlier.

b. I am directed to inform that, due to prevailing COVID-19 pandemic in the country, the
submission of summer program/project report for renewal of fellowship for the year
2020-21 is not mandatory. This relaxation is only for this year. However, this will be
reviewed during renewal of fellowship for the financial year 2021-22.

Please find enclosed two forms (1 and 2) to be duly completed and certified by the Head of the Institution and
returned to this office. This convers a statement of your academic performance during the academic year
2019-20, certificate of admission to the next academic year 2020-21 and the courses of study; and non-receipt
of fellowship from any other sources. Please send the forms duly filled and signed by the Head of the
Institution along with attested copies of the marks statement on or before 31st December 2020, by Regd. Post /
Speed Post/Courier.
