Dear Mr and Mrs Newson,

I’m glad to know that you’re my host in this summer. This is the first time I have ever been to another
country so I’m afraid of the differences in our culture can lead to some misunderstandings. In your
letter, you said that you had some of my personal information and you wanted to know more things
about myself.

Being an introvert make communicating with others is a big challenge for me. To my English, which is
not so good, is one of the reasons why I don’t talk much. Despite of those disadvantages, I still want to
have some group activities with my host family, such as: go picnicking, do exercise, have BBQ party and
so on. But it’s not a good idea for my health, which may worsen because of the differences in your
country weather, to do so many outdoor activities in a short time. So I think we should have a short talk
about which we should do in the summer.

I’m sorry for having so many requests for you, and it is understandable if you find me too annoying. If I
don’t behave as you wish, just tell me. Hope we will be good friends.
