Benefits of electric motors

Electric motors are devices that convert electrical energy into mechanical energy
by means of the magnetic fields generated in their coils. Some of these motors are
able to invert their function and from mechanical energy they can generate
electrical energy thus becoming what we call generators, these motors can be
classified according to the type of current they use for their feeding in two types:
DC motors and AC motors
There are many types of electric motors such as three-phase motors, single-phase
motors, servomotors, stepper motors among others, and all of these with different
functions, but all in general contain main parts that are the stator, the rotor, the
housing, the base and the bearings.
The use of these engines ranges from industrial or transport use as we can see in
the Medellin metro, conveyor belts among others, to domestic use such as in
blenders or fans and its use has also been implemented in automobiles called
hybrids that combine an internal combustion engine and one or more electric
motors, motorcycles and bicycles since they do not generate polluting emissions to
the environment. These engines have several advantages and among them are
the efficiency of approximately 70% and the non-generation of toxic fumes, they
are also silent and generate few vibrations and do not need cooling system, the
most important thing is that they allow to exercise control over their RPM , direction
of rotation or angle of rotation among others by means of programmable
controllers.
We see that these engines are very beneficial for many industries and people with
a small investment of a motor of these can have in their power a rotational
movement with which they can make many beneficial applications for their life.
