What are the Models of IELTS Tests?
There are two models of IELTS.

1.Academic Test (for graduate and post


graduate education purpose)
2.General Training Test (for secondary
education and global migration
purpose)

Who Administrates IELTS?
IELTS is administrated by the following
organizations.

1.British Council (authorized test center)


2.IDP Education Australia (test material
provider), and
3.University of Cambridge (examiner)

What are IELTS Testing Module?
IELTS has written and oral testing
module. Written test module contains
Listening, Reading, and Writing which
are taken on the same day. Oral test
module contains Speaking which will be
conducted in another day.

What are difference between Academic
and General Training Module?

IELTS Listening and Speaking module


are the same for academic and general
training, but the Writing and Reading
module are different based on the test
efficiency.

How IELTS Test is Scored?
Correct answers in each of the IELTS
test are translated into a score on
IELTS nine-band scale.
Test takers get separate band score
for each of the Reading, Writing,
Listening and Speaking tests to
measure language proficiency.

Band 9: Expert User


Band 8: Very Good User
Band 7: Good User
Band 6: Competent User
Band 5: Modest User
Band 4: Limited User
Band 3: Extremely Limited User
Band 2: Intermittent User
Band 1: Non User
