The attack of the pandemic COVID-19 made the whole world suffer from a deep crisis.

As
days pass by, the number of positive cases continuously grow, as well as deaths recorded. It
has placed 210 countries to a worst nightmare not even anyone has imagined to happen. In
the midst of this medical crisis, no one has yet to find medications preventing rise of
COVID-19 cases and engaging to increasing rates of recoveries. Now, the least thing that we
can do is to practice social distancing aside from maintaining good health. With this, it has
put operations of countries to its unusual place. Almost all activities that require close
physical contact have been suspended affecting livelihood of the people, and one of which

In this modern era, the advancement of technology has been rampant. Researchers and
developers invest on innovations helping people cope up with limitations our society has.
Amid this pandemic we are battling, these developments paved ways for uncompromising
the living and activities of the people, may it be in its unusual way but still met the
objectives.

In the field of education, Computer-Assisted Instruction (CAI) has been developed.

to classroom teaching. It often bridges distances between instructor and students and
allows for the instruction of large numbers of students by a few educators. With this,
learning will continuously prevail without violating the set protocols of the government.

Through the use of CAI, it will be easier for students to navigate learning environment. This
includes work prediction and spelling checkers that would be helpful for them in studying
their lessons. It will also be helpful to persons with disabilities, for it has features like
speech recognition. Also, CAI allows learning through video lessons posted by their
instructors. Those who are struggling to grasp a difficult lesson or practicing note-taking
can cope up with it through pause, playback, skip ahead or restart features vital to
student’s learning in contrast to a regular classroom learning where some students are
struggling to understand and keep up based on the pace of teaching.

Not only CAI is essential to distance learning and improvement of learning capacity of
students, but also, they will be able to acquire skills such as technology skills, keyboarding
classes, career preparation, online access and adult learning.

Along with these presented advantages of the use of technology are drawbacks. We should
be smart users and good influencers to people who use this advancements to cyber-crimes,
computer viruses to steal personal data, indecent discussions and pornography. Also, since
we are struggling for our freedom from the chains of this pandemic, the current situation of
every household should be considered to make sure this type of learning will be efficient
and effective to all students.

Learning is a continuous process. Whatever obstacles we encounter, this should not be left
behind.
