Headquarters AHA Call Center Agency
Baguio, Benguet 2600

Problem:
AHA Agency has troubles in the recruitment and retention of good employees, and the
Human Resource wants to know why.

Factors:
a. There are frequent incidents of resignation letters being submitted to the office.
b. There are less number of people applying for a position in the agency.

Assumptions:
The company offers low incentives and lacks recognition for employees. Furthermore,
there is a communication barrier between the employer and employee – creating gaps in the
exchange of ideas opinions for the betterment of the agency.

Definitions:
a. Agency refers to AHA Agency, an establishment engaged in doing business for
another.
b. Employee is one employed for services to the agency.
c. Retention refers to the keeping of an employee in service for the agency.

Discussion:
Salary and benefits must be competitive. Keep an eye of your manager/supervisor. Make
employee engagement possible / culture of open communication. Employee recognition.
Work life balance.

Conclusion:
The best strategy applicable to the agency’s problem is to make the salary and benefits of
the employees more competitive. When employees are well paid and their needs as well as their
benefits are met, it will be difficult for them to resign. Also, great pay and benefits encourages
more applicants to consider applying in the agency.

Action Recommended:
The course of action for this is to discuss with the Board of Directors the salary increase,
and to decide what benefits would the agency consider to give its employees.
