Sahlab Recipe Card

Ingredients for 'Sahlab' Recipe


Milk 2 cups
Sugar 4 tablespoons
Rose water 1 teaspoon
Sugar 1/4 cup
Cinnamon powder for sprinkling

Chopped almonds for topping


Desiccated coconut for topping
Chopped pistachios for topping
Honey for drizzling

Method
step 1
Put cornstarch and ¼ cup water in a bowl and mix till you get a smooth paste.

Heat milk in a deep non-stick pan, add cornstarch paste and stir continuously.

Add rose water and sugar, mix well and cook till the custard thickens. Switch off the heat, cool and pour into a silicon container and
refrigerate till set.

Remove from the silicon container and upturn on a serving platter. Sprinkle cinnamon powder, top with almonds, desiccated coconut
and pistachios. Drizzle honey on top.

Serve chilled.
