When making comparisons

January is a colder month than December.

Countable nouns are used in the plural form

I love reading books.

Un-countable nouns are used in the plural form

Jane likes earning money.

Using: many, much or any

Many people played golf today.

There isn’t much to do today.

Using pronouns: ‘my’, ‘yours’ ‘theirs’ ‘his’ ‘hers’

His bike was only £120 pounds.

Their car is parked over there.
