AN ORDINANCE IMPOSING A NEW CURFEW

HOURS FOR ALL PERSONS IN THE CITY OF
MANDALUYONG BEMEEN 10:00 P.M. AND
5:00 A.M. DURING THE COMMUNITY
OUARANTINE IMPOSED BY THE NATIONAL
GOVERNMENT THEREBY AMENDING
SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 760, S.2O2O

WHEREAS, on May 15,2020, the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Mandaluyong

enacted Ordinance No. 760, 5-2020 entitled "An 0rdinance lmposing Gity-Wide
Curfew from 8:fi) P.M. to 5:00 A.M. During the 3&Day Community Ouarantine". The
same was approved by the City Mayor, Honorable Carmelita A. Abalos, on May 18,

WHEREAS, the foregoing 0rdinance imposed not only curfew hours for all
persons in the City of Mandaluyong between 8:fi) P.M. and 5:00 A.M. during the

community quarantine period imposed by the National Govemment but it also sktes
who are exempted from ib implemenEtion, its enforcement, guidelines in the
apprehension, as well as penalties for any person found violating the same.

WHEREAS, on May 15,2020, the lnter-Agency Task Force (IATF) issued the
Revised Omnibus Guidelines on the lmplementation of Community Quanntine;

WHEREAS, the entire National Capital Region as well as other areas in the
Philippines were placed under a General Community Ouarantine (GCO) last June 1,
2020 up to June 15, 2020. The same was extended from June 16, 2020 until June
34,2020;

WHEREAS, General Gommunity Ouarantine refers to the implementation ol

temporary measures limiting movement and transporhtion, regulation of operating
industries, and presence of uniformed personnel to enforce community quarantine

protocols;

WHEREAS, since more essential establishmenb are now allowed to operate

under the GCO category, subiect to specific national and local government guidelines
\ and public transport operations are still limited, more people might experience hard

times to go back to their homes at exact[ 8:fi) o'clock in the evening and may be
apprehended for violating the Curfew Ordinance;

WHEREAS, there is a need to relax the curfew hours since public cooperation
with virus-control meixsures - including no social gatherings and people keeping a

safe distance are alrmdy practiced and in place aside from the normal health
standards and protocols imposed by the Gity and National Governments.

N0W, THEREruRE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the

$ City of Mandaluyong, in session assembled:

SECTION 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 760, S-2020 is he reby amended to

read as follows:

Section 1. Curfew Hours; Covered Persons. There is hereby

imposed a curfew hours for all persons in the City of Mandaluyong
betuteen 10:ffi P.M. and 5:00 A.M. during the community quarantine
imposed by the National Government.

SECTI0N 2. All 0rdinances and Resolutions or any part thereof which are
inconsistent with the foregoing provision are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.

SECTI0N 3. Let copy of this 0rdinance be furnished the 0ffice of the City
Mayor, City Traffic and Parking Management Department, Anti-Vice Division, Public
Order and Safety Division, Mayo/s Action Command and other offices concerned for
their information, guidance and reference.

SECTION 4. This 0rdinance shalltake effect immediately after approval
