SUMMARY OF LANGUAGE DISCRIMINATION

The article I read it was very interesting to me. I had never thought, from the point
of view that it is presented, the consequences of the actions of people who
discriminate against others. At least in the state of California, US, the laws are very
well established for when a person is being discriminated against and is not given
a job for not having a good pronunciation of the English language.

It also caught my attention that if someone is going to buy and they do not have
someone to serve them in the language they speak, it does not have English or
Spanish, the company must have someone who can assist them. If the company
does not have someone then whey will start to file a lawsuit.

Although there is also the other part, that there are places where you are asked to
have certain degree of knowledge in the different aspects of the English language
and if you do not comply with that rule you cannot five them work. This is also good
since each company can set its quality standards and this I think is good in order to
provide a better service in their own language.

We must be careful to discriminate against others because of how they speak a

language that is nor their native language. But I also believe that it sis everyone’s
responsibility to strive for the best and obtain the best pronunciation, diction, etc. of
the language that we are going to learn. This will help a lot to make yourself
understood better.
