Assessment 2 Referral Task:

Deadline day for this referral task is Monday 10th August. You will need to film your
presentation and submit it via the submission box provided. The deadline for submission is
2359 on Monday 10th August.

The task is as follows:

Put together a 2-minute slideshow presentation entitled “my opinion about the world’s
response to coronavirus.

The world has spent 2020 responding to the pandemic. Do you agree with the strict
lockdown measures employed across the globe? Or should the world have continued as
normal and taken its chances with the virus?

Marking Criteria

 A well organised, easy to follow structure

 Accuracy in your use of English, including grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation
 Fluency
 Successful techniques which enable us to be persuaded by your ideas
 How persuasive you are in getting your point of view across

Use the ‘record slideshow’ function to narrate our slideshow, accompanying your
powerpoint slides with your voice, as you put your point of view across.

Academic conventions and regulations regarding originality and plagiarism:

Passing off the ideas or words of others as your own is an academic offence, the penalties
for which can be extremely severe. Therefore, ensure you do not show your work to other
students and by the same token, if you use the words or ideas of others, you must cite your
sources following the standard conventions.
