VITNEURIN INJECTION GLAXO PHARMA

COMPOSITION:

Each 2 ml ampoule contains:

Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) IP 100 mg


Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) IP 50 mg
Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin) IP 1000 mcg
d-Panthenol IP 50 mg
Phenol (preservative) IP 0.5 % w/v

INDICATIONS:

Peripheral neuropathy due to multi-factorial aetiology.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

Adults: By deep intramuscular injection or intravenous infusion 2 ml


daily or as recommended by the Physician.

PRECAUTIONS:

Repeated injections of preparations containing Thiamine hydrochloride


(Vitamin B1) may very rarely give rise to anaphylactic shock. Should
this occur, appropriate measures such as adrenaline, corticosteroids
and antihistamine preparations must be given immediately.

Care should be exercised when prescribed with levodopa therapy in


Parkinson's disease, since pyridoxine may antagonise the therapy.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS:

Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation.


Not indicated for the treatment of toxic amblyopias.

PHARMACEUTICAL PRECAUTIONS:

Store below an average temperature of 30°C with maximum temperature


not exceeding 35°C. Protect from direct sunlight.

SIDE EFFECTS:

Flushing of the face has been reported occasionally.

PRESENTATION:

22 ml amber ampoule in a carton.
