SPEECH:GREED(oral)

  A very good morning to teacher ( Pn.XXXX) and fellow friends. I’m humbly thank you for giving
me a chance to give a speech entitled “Greed Root Of All Evil”. Chinese proverb said a man's
greed is like a snake that wants to swallow an elephant. Greed is an intense desire to
accumulate large amounts of something such as food, power or wealth or simply means that
you try to acquire more than you need. Greedy person never be thankful and never feel enough
with what they had. They always want to have more and to satisfy their greed, people follow
the path of unfair means, betrayal and crime, this makes other’s life miserable . However,
what causes people become greedy?
Being selfish always tend people to be greedy. They may feel they should or have more right
to take the profit. For example, family wealth. The eldest Some of the siblings may claiming
excessive property because they feel they are older. Even after obtaining what they want,
they’re still not satisfied. Hence, it is not surprising that end up we see many families splitting
up after the death of their parents, mostly because of wealth. without realizing Unwittingly,
greed are become a fat demon with a small mouth, and whatever you tried to fill, that’s never
enough.
Greed also happened due to someone’s insecurity. They feels that people having more than
them and always try to live on people’s perceptions. They don’t want people regarded them as
a failure or they fail to fulfill family material satisfaction, like having a luxury car, big house or
even the latest technology. like other people without knowing how much those waste means to
needed people.
Greed may blind your righteous values and tempt you to adopt mala fide shortcuts to get what
you want. Especially in this modernisation era, number of cases involving corruption is
increasing as there are many ways to make a profit without being detected. However, always
keep in mind no matter how well a squirrel jump, eventually will fall to ground too.
How do we recongnise those greedy people( How to know a greedy person) ?Greedy person
are usually having overly self-centered behaviors. They will always say “me,me,me” with a very
little regard for the needs and other feelings. For example, when you done a grouping project
but you gives all the credits to yourself and makes friends’ role are meaningless in the
project.We can see this type of greed usually happen when an employee are trying to win their
boss heart and trust or getting promotion. ** For example, like someone always claims that
he/she contributed most of the ideas in a group project and this indirectly makes his/her
friends’ role meaningless in a group work.
Everything happened has their own pros and cons( I believed that everything happened for a
reason). Being greedy are good in certain thing.Believe or not,greed cap drive us to change to
be better than we think we could
