How to Create Display ad in Google ads

Meaning:

A display ad, also known as a banner ad, is a form of online paid


advertising that is typically a designed image or a photo and copy. ... Display
ads function differently than text ads.
Structure to create Display ad/Banner Ad:

Notes: * should get approval from PM or CEO

Step 1:

You should have Google ad account for creating ad. To create an


account, Google → ads.google.com→ your mail id→ create account.

Step 2:

If you already have Google ad account means Login by user name and
password.

Step 3:

In Campaign →right side you will see + symbol. If you click + means you
can create new campaign.

Step 4:

For creating campaign, you should set a goal. For creating a display ad,
the following goals can make successful as follows, Sales, Leads, Website
Traffic, Product and brand consideration, Brand awareness and reach or
Create a campaign without a goal.*

Step 5:

Select the campaign subtype as Standard display campaign

Step 6: Give your Business website URL so you can get results from this
campaign.
Step 7:

Next you have to create campaign as follows:

o Campaign Name*
o Location*
o Language*
o Bidding Strategy*
o Budget*
• You have to set the campaign name, so you can refer in future by client
name.
• In Location wise you can target All countries and territories or India or
Enter another location.
▪ By selecting another location, you can choose a particular
location manually.
▪ By using Advanced search, you can add bulk locations, and
also by using radius you can target a location, in that
particular location you can target within 20 km
• In language you can choose Language*
• In Bidding Strategy, there are of two types as follows, you can choose
according to your client requires.
▪ Automated Bidding
▪ Manual Bidding
• In Budget you can Enter the average amount you want to spend each day
▪ By Ad schedule you can select start days and end days and we
can schedule timing also. *
▪ By Start and end dates you can schedule start dates and end
dates. *
▪ In Device you can select
• Show on all device*
• Set specific targeting for device*
▪ In Frequency capping, you can set Limit how many times
your ads show to the same user. *
So, the campaign is created.
Step 8:

Next, you have to create ad groups. Targeting audience as follows,

✓ Audience: by their search, ideas and by browsing. *


✓ Demographics: Reach people based on age, gender, parental
status, or household income. *
✓ Content Targeting: where you want your ads to show Narrow
your reach with Keywords, Topics, or Placements*

Step 9:

After creating these steps, you can create an ad by clicking above three
options

✓ Responsive display ad: Create an optimized ad that tests and


combines your assets
✓ Upload display ads: Upload ads to use in your display campaign
✓ Copy existing ads: Copy ads from other campaigns and ad groups

Step 10:

By selecting, you can proceed with the following steps,

▪ The Landing Page URL should be entered. *


▪ You can add 2 images, one for logo another for logo Add 2
or more high-quality images (1 square and 1 landscape
required) You can add up to 15images and 5logos to create
an ad. *
▪ You can add Video(optional), you can add up to 5 videos
▪ You can add up to 5 headings with 30-character limit. *
▪ You can give up to 5 description with 90-character limit. *
▪ You have to mention the business name with 25-character
limit. *
▪ In more options you can add call to action and custom
colors

Step 11: After this you can select Add to group if you need to create next ad
group means you can create or you can select create campaign.

So, your Display ad is ready you can proceed to payment options
