Let's open our Bibles to *Ephesians 5:15-16 15 See then that you walk [a]circumspectly, not as fools but
as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Pro 25:28 He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.

Good evening once again Brethren once again brethren. I humbly wish to share my view on the
discussion before all our fathers in the Lord who are present in the house would help us to round off the
discussion. Making the best of this time can be narrowed down to having self-discipline parties when
one is at liberty to spend his time the way he likes. I like to link this thoughts and the reference above
with this write up below.

Self-discipline is, without a doubt, one of the most important life skills everyone, and I mean everyone,
should have. There are, of course, plenty of other essential life skills everyone should master such as
people skills, time and money management skills, survival skills, professional skills, communication skills,
and more.

If you answered self-discipline, you’re absolutely correct! You need to have the discipline to effectively
master many different life skills. Skills that are important for your success at work, at school, at home,
or anywhere else for that matter.
Now, achieving self-discipline is not easy. Don’t trust anyone who tells you that. To achieve self-discipline
you need to have the ability to control your emotions, your body, and your mind.
It’s the ability to rise beyond your weaknesses and be strong enough to resist temptations that may
come your way (and you will have plenty of those, trust me). If you think doing that is easy, then you’re
probably superhuman or maybe even a robot!

We may not share the same weaknesses but as humans, we all have weaknesses. It could be something
material or immaterial, it could be tangible or non-tangible, and it can even be a living thing like other
human beings or animals. Every time you see these objects, these weaknesses, your resolve weakens
and you lose your self-control. In some cases, maybe even your self-respect.

Overcoming your weaknesses is necessary for you to be successful at disciplining yourself. Why? You
simply don’t have a choice. Temptations and obstacles will litter your path to success and it’s important
you avoid these at all cost! If you fail, if you give in to your weaknesses, then you’re also going to fail big
time on self-discipline.

If you’ve always wanted to achieve or excel at something, such as in sports, academics, arts, music, and
more, you need to have the self-discipline to go after what you want, to chase after your dreams.
You don’t just sit around and wait for something to happen. Because nothing will happen. You have to
put in the work, most probably over a long period of time, so you can achieve whatever it is you’re aiming
for.
May God make us wise. My humble submission please.

So, going by the realities of the times we live in, we need to see how we can get the best of staying away
from the usual life of hustling and bustling, How to maximize the moment while it lasts.
So, let's begin with the first post from pastor Fasan
Any question?

Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

We should not be fools, and redeem the times
We need to spend time in God’s presence praying and studying the word to receive insight from God
and prevent any evil. It takes the wise to watch and pray.

This is a great contribution, can we find a replacement for those who are not in academic field
I mean review for number 10 item of pastor Fasan; I think it could replace with reading books on personal
development

Our family altar should not be rushing rushing but we should spend enough time now
Family bonding time
To be honest, it’s been hard to keep the young children in academic work for now from my experience.
Also the rate at which they consume food this period is at geometrical progression

Habits of highly Effective People

1. Take time to read books on different aspects of life. Books are like eyes opener, they help u see
areas where u can put ur potential into maximum use.
2. For this cause left there in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, so,
this period is purposely to put things straight in our lives, families, children & relationship with
God.
3. Don't forget to do exercises. It could be dangerous to keep ourselves completely indoors without
taking some time to walk around. That’s a good one on discipline.
4. This is the time to act, engage in something you've always wanted to do, let's not just talk about
this, but swing into action, like starting from tomorrow, draw your plan.
5. And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation
nearer than when we believed. Rom 13:11 .We also need to stop and search through our lives at
this crucial time
6. Spiritual, physical and emotional exercise. Exercise at home could be Develop your already
acquired skill; Use this period to update yourself in every areas.
7. Yes, if you cannot do anything at all, we can read, and by reading we learn alot.

So, I think we can now move to the second post now

He centered on self-discipline

Please let's our contributions more practical, Let it apply to real life situation, Kindly give examples too.
OK, attention please!

Lack of self-discipline is d major reason why many ppl failed and is d key to success in life. May God help
us; for clarity, let's pick the points one by one. Let's take Spiritual first...
1. Have a good time to meditate on the Word of God. Based on previous contributions let's
summarize the points on Spiritual life
 The time is good for personal retreat to refresh our spiritual life.
 know more of God's mind for you this season
 Quality family devotion
 Praying and studying God's word
 Spend quality time to read good books, that can inspire and lift up our faith

Can we have recommendations?

 I think pastor Fasan post will really help us spiritually if we strictly adhere to it, except if there's
any other contribution to it.
 When Faith seems weak and Victory lost by Kenneth Hagin
 God's general by Robert Liardon
 Why Revival tarries
 Dying testimonies of saved and unsaved by Benjamin Solomon
 It takes self-discipline to control what you eat and drink, to keep your environment clean and
washing of hands, and to abide in God's presence.
 Take for instance, you can decide to read through the book of proverbs, next week another book
 This is also a time to take personal studies on Eschatology from the Bible.
 Many are fearful nowadays. They confuse every news up. Talking about 5G and the current
happenings as tribulation or Rapture events. Studies of book of Revelation again and the book of
Daniel will give us a perfect view of the time line of end time events and definitely it help us check
our standing with God and prepare.

Exercise- according to pastor Lomuwagun's suggestion

What kind of exercise would be appropriate even for the elderly ones?

 You can walk around in your own compound: walking exercise a day is important for your mental
health, there are things you can do at home that work well during the lockdown - for example, a
run, walk, or cycle - alone or with members of your household
 I'm so happy with d two major contributors - d 20 points & d stuff on self-discipline. They are
both intectually & socially stimulating. The points raised are so germaine - worthy for
consideration & compliance. D only aspect I will caution members particularly those above 60
year is d issue of exercise. For such people it must be under guidance of experts on health. Let
me thank all d contributors for their wonderful academic discuss. Above all, we must at this time
seek guidance from d all-knowing God.

Skills: Let's go to skill we can learn at home, maybe online...

Moderator: Pastor please pray for us

Pastor Lomuwagun: The Lord Almighty will be with us, watch over every one of us and keep from us His
wings all through this period and beyond in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Moderator: Thanks all for taking out time to join in this discussion, May the Lord bless us all.
So, we'll continue later on the skills we can learn from home. If you have websites, links, or book in that
regards kindly get them ready.
Can we have suggestions about when next to meet?
I hope you learned one or two lessons tonight
