Benchmark is the process of comparing the fundamental ratios against a company's

peers within the same industry.

When you are evaluating a company’s ratios to it’s peers in the same industry you are
looking for the company that offers you the best metrics for each dollar paid. You are
comparing a group of symbols to find the one that is most undervalued.
