Methodology for the construction of the 69 kV, 10 MVA

transformer base

1. Clearing of the area of vegetation and other debris,


2. Installation of signage and warning tape around the area of excavation,
3. Excavation of soil down to .6 meter below the intended footing level,
4. Examination and assessment of the type of soil, and the possible water
table exposed during excavation,
5. Reassessment of foundation design as per findings gathered from the
excavation process,
6. Mechanical or chemical stabilization, as necessary, of soil where footings
are to be laid,
7. Tamping of underlying soil,
8. Assembly of footing and column reinforcement bars,
9. Assembly of formworks,
10. Pouring of concrete,
11.backfilling and tamping
12. Installation of grounding conductors.
