ACQUISITION BOARD UPGRADE FOR THE AMS4A067

DEPTH PANEL
1. The new acquisition board comes already programmed with
version 6X2K002 software. Please contact us at
mail@benchmarkwireline.com if you have any problems with this
installation.

2. Turn off power to the panel.

3. Remove existing Acquisition PCB assembly by disconnecting all of the

connectors from the board and removing the six screws holding it in place.

4. Install the new Acquisition PCB assembly in the panel. Install all the screws
except in the lower right hand corner. Install the standoff included in the kit
in this position.

5. Connect all the connections except the connector at P6 of the new board.

6. Plug additional PCB assembly ALS4A302 into the P6 connector of the new
Acquisition board. See below.
7. Cut the connector off the present 3 pin CAN BUS cable that was connected
to the board with the small the switches. Solder the wires from the old cable
to the new CAN BUS cable (AMS2A025) matching up the colors. Install
heat shrink over each solder connection. After soldering the wires, connect
it to P19 of new acquisition board. See above.

8. Install the new AMS2A024 power and relay cable (AMS2A024) to P2 of the
new acquisition board. Remove the terminals from the wires that were
connected to the previous acquisition board. Solder the wires to the new
power and relay cable.

9. Disassemble the connector that is now plugged in to P9 of the new

acquisition board (See below). There should be a dot on the connector
designating pin 1. Remove wire going to pin 5 of P9 which connects to the
new acquisition board. Push the tab in and pull the wire and pin out of the
connector.
10. Re-assemble connector P9 and plug it back into connector P9 on the new
acquisition board.

11. Remove the blank pin from pin 12 of connector P6 which is the one that
plugs into the connector on ALSA302 additional board assembly.

12. Fix the tab on the wire removed from P9 – 5 and insert it into P6 pin 12.

13. Turn on power to the panel while pressing the T-TEST and T-CAL buttons.
Hold down for about 3 seconds then let go. This resets the panel.

14. After the panel is determined to be working properly, install RTV onto
every connection and also on the battery in the right hand corner of the new
PCB assembly.

15. This completes the upgrade.
