Fees of Students

Fees payable to the University are classified under the following heads:

1. Admission fee for the 1st year Honours Courses- 8.A., B.S.S., B.B.A., LL.B. and B.S.
Honours in Mathematics and Statistics- Tk.150.00.

1st Year B.Pharm. and B.S. Honours except Mathematics and Statistics-Tk. 175.00.

Admission fee for M.A, M.S.S, M.B.A., LL.M. and M.S, in Mathematics and
Statistics-Tk.150.00. M Pham. and M.S. except Mathematics and Statistics-Tk.175.00

2. Students shall be admitted in the master’s courses within 2 (Two) months of the date
of publication of results of their Honours examinations. If they fail to admit
themselves in the masters courses within 2 (Two) months shall pay later fee at the
rate of Tk. 1000.00 per month or any of its part for each student.
3. Every student shall be required to pay to the University a registration fee of Tk. 300.00.

No registration fee will be charged in the case of a student who after completion of a
course of study in this University, enters without interruption into another course of
study in the same or in another Faculty.
4. Duplicate registration number shall be issued to student if he/she applies through the
Principal/Provost on payment of a requisite fee of Tk.300.00.
5. The University shall fix up the date of admission of the students of affiliated and
constituent Colleges/ Institutes. The Principal/ Director of the College/ Institute
concerned shall send the registration forms and fees of their admitted students to the
Registrar within 30 (Thirty) days from the fixed date of admission. lf they fail to send
the registration forms and fees within thirty days of fixed date of admission shall pay
late fee at the rate of Tk.1000.00 (One thousand) per month or any of its part for each
student.
6. The tuition fee for courses for the degrees of B.A., B.S.S., B.B.A., and LL.B. and the
degree of B.S. with Honours in Mathematics and Statistics shall be at the rate of
Tk.300.00 a month for 12 months in the year. The tuition fee for a course for the
degree of B.Pharm. and B.S. with Honours in any subject other than Mathematics and
Statistics shall be at the rate of Tk.360.00 a month for 12 months in the year.

Provided that a student of the University who is permitted by a competent authority to


transfer from one course of study to another, irrespective of the Faculty, shall be
required to pay only the balance of tuition fees and other dues, if any, payable for the
new course for 12 months during the session.
7. The tuition fee for a course for the degree of M.A, M.S.S, M.B.A and LL.M shall be
Tk.300.00 a month for 12 months in the session and in the M.S and
M.Pharm.Tk.360.00 a month for 12 months in the session, save that the tuition fee for
M.S students in Mathematics and Statistics shall be Tk.300.00 a month for 12 months
in the session.
8. Course Examination fee for the students of 8.A., B.S.S, LL.B., B.S, and B.Pharm.
Honours course and M.A, M.S.S., LL.M. Course Tk.1700.00. B.B.A. and M.B.A.
Tk.1700.00. M.S. and M.Pharm. course Tk.1700.00.
Thesis group in the M.Pharm. and M.S. course shall be Tk.1700.00.
9. (a) Centre fee for the students of B.B.A. Honours Course and MBA Course shall be
Tk.300.00.
(b) Other than B.B.A. and M.B.A. Tk. 150.00.
10. The students of . the 1st year Honours Course shall pay under mentioned fees at the
time of admission only once:
(a) Proctorial Service fee Tk.25.00
(b) Internet fee Tk.250.00
(c) Transport infrastructure Development fee Tk.1000.00
(d) Students taking up Statistics, Mathematics, Tk.300.00 as computer
Computer Science & Engineering, Physics and charge.
Applied Physics & Electronics as Honours
subject shall pay
(e) The students of M.S., course in Statistics shall Tk.200.00 as computer
pay charge.

11. Students taking up Mass Communication and Journalism as Honours subject shall
pay Tk.300.00 as media centre fee.
12. The students shall pay other fees at the time of admission as follows:

13. Fee for the foreign students from SAARC countries shall be US$500 or equivalent to
Bangladeshi Taka. Fee for the students from out of the SAARC countries shall be
US$1200 or equivalent to Bangladeshi Taka.
14. A resident student whose name is struck off for non-payment of tuition fee, seat rent
or other University- dues and who is not readmitted on payment of dues within one
month after the removal of his name, shall be required by the Provost to leave the
Hall, but the Provost may, in any exceptional case, permit such a student to continue
to reside in the Hall for a further period not exceeding one month. The Provost shall
forthwith report to the Vice-Chancellor if any student does not leave the Hall on
being required to do so.
15. Caution money shall be deposited by students at the time of their admission as
follows:
(i) Students of all Faculties Honours and Masters course Tk. 250.00 each..
(ii) Students in the M.Phil. and Ph.D.Tk.500.00each.
Provided that in exceptional cases, on the recommendation of the Provost, the Vic-
Chancellor may postpone the payment of caution money payable by the students.
A student whose caution money has been decreased by payment for loss or damage to
University property, shall make up his caution money again to the required amount
within such time as may be notified.
Holders of University or Government research studentship shall not be required to
deposit any caution money over and above the library caution money of Tk. 500.00.
The caution money deposited by any student shall be available against loss or damage
caused by him to books in the University and Hall Libraries, to apparatus and
chemicals in the Science and Psychological Laboratories and to any other University
property as well as against any liability of the student to any fund of any University
body including Dining Hall dues, if and balance is left after recovery of the
University Dining Hall dues, if any balance is left after recovery of the University
dues. It shall be available in case of non-payment of Hall dues for meeting seat rent
and fines. Caution money of a student whose name has been struck off for non-
payment of University dues, will not be refunded to him but will be forfeited to the
University if the be not readmitted to the University within three years after removal
of his name from the University roll. Caution money of a student who fails to claim
refund of the particular examination for the first time on completion of this course
will also be forfeited to the University. Caution money will not be refunded to any
student unless his final examination is over.
Provided that caution money of a student who dies before the completion of his
course may be refunded to his guardian or any other person, as the Vice-Chancellor
may decide, after-deducting University and Hall dues up to the end to the month in
which he dies.
16. All research students (including students holding either Government or University
research studentships) shall pay Athl6tic, University and Hall Union fees in addition
to any other fees they are liable to pay under the Ordinance and Regulations.
17. The seat rent shall be equal in all the Halls or Hostels. The rent of a seat in a single-
seated room shall be Tk.360.00, in a two-seated room Tk.144.00. Bijoy Ekattor Hall

18. No fee 240.be levied upon any student of the University for the use of any book in
the Libraries of the University or any of its Halls or Hostels.
19. The annual subscription for athletics shall be Tk. 100.00. This fee is compulsory for
all students and must be paid together with the first fees paid to the University in each
academic year. The annual subscription for athletics shall be as follows:

89. Successful candidates at any degree examination shall be entitled to receive a
Provisional Certificate immediately after the publication of the results on application
to the Controller of Examination and on payment of a fee of Tk. 100.00. Graduates
will ordinarily be required to surrender such Provisional Certificates in exchange for
their University Diplomas.
90. A fee of Tk. 200.00 shall be paid for the delivery of University Diplomas to graduates
who do not attend Convocation of the University for the purpose of receiving such a
Diploma. The University Certificate for the Licentiateship in Teaching shall be given
to successful candidates on payment of a fee of Tk. 100.00.
91. The Duplicate of a University Diploma or Certificate (including Provisional
Certificate) will only be issued if the Provost of the Hall or the Principal of the
College to which the student belongs, certifies that he/she is satisfied that it is a fit
case for the issue of a duplicate, and such duplicates shall be sent to the Provost or the
Principal concerned for disposal. No duplicate of a Diploma or Certificate shall be
issued unless the student concerned sends immediate intimation to the University
about the loss of the document.
A fee of Tk. 250.00 shall be charged for the duplicate of a University diploma or
certificate or Provisional Certificate or L.T. Certificate. Each such Diploma or
Certificate shall be stamped as a duplicate with the date of issue.
A fee of Tk. 150.00 shall be charged for issuing duplicates Admit Cards allowing
students to appear at the University Examinations.

92. Candidates will be supplied with a detailed statement of the marks obtained by them
in each paper course in each subject on payment of a fee of Tk. 125.00.
