Calibration of SH590

Set the ventilator standby, then press the Config key, the Configuration submenu appears
on the screen, you may find the Calibrat button. See figure1.

1. Calibrate flow sensor

Remove breathing circuit .Ensure expiratory port to atmosphere.

Turn the knob to select Flow sensor button and press it, see figure. 3
Pay attention to on-screen prompt.

Select Start button and push the knob, the flow sensor is calibrating. see figure. 4.
If succeed, the word Calibration completed will be on the screen as shown in figure. 5

If failed, contact Aeonmed.

2. Calibrate pressure sensor

Turn the knob to select Pressure sensor and press it, see figure. 6
Calibrating procedure refer to Calibrating Flow sensor.

Pay attention to prompt on-screen.

You usually settle the problem after the two step calibration

Be careful to do following calibretion

3. Calibrate Flow valve

To calibrate flow valve when there be a difference of 30% between the value of tidal
volume monitored and the settings.
Calibrate inspiratory valve
Short connect the inspiratory port and expiratory port ,see figure 7

Avoid leading to the system failure because of inadvertent operation, only inputting proper
code can perform next step. Then follow the on-screen prompt strictly to calibrate flow
valve.

Input password:7294 to calibrate Inspiratory valve, set AIR and O2 0, press OK. (seldom use). It
will take about 5 minutes.
Calibrate expiratory valve
Connect patient circuit and test lung(splint simulate lung) as follow:

Input password:3108 to calibrate expiratory valve .


If the PEEP is not correct you may do this step .It will take about 20 minutes.
