better place but also it empowers a person to be more than just ordinary, no matter what
circumstances they might come from. One can be anything, literally. Just put in hard work and
technology shall take you where you need to go. No bias, no discrimination. And I believe that is
something beautiful.
I realize than it more than anything that it was a laptop, my hard work, and support from my family
and friends that helped me a lot in the beginning. Having knowledge of currents trends and
resources not only made me feel empowered but it also gave me a sense of completeness. Although
I was comfortable with my speaking skills, the sense of confidence that I have gained in the recent
years of my engineering cant be explained. Technology not only developed me technically but I
believe that it turned around my personality.
This is what I want to do for other students. Many of us, still are unaware of the tremendous
potential of the very basic stuff that we take for granted in our day to day life. For example, I suggest
my peers devote time on LinkedIn instead of Instagram when they are free and just looking through
memes.
Why? Because, I believe this is the first step towards building the aware, forward and modern world
that I dream of living in someday.
This happened at my hostel.
My roommate was struggling with the idea of how to perceive a deque as a slider window.
He was solving a problem of finding the longest consecutive substring but he had never heard of
what a slider window was and how to think of it.
Q1. Why do you need this approach? Why can't we just use normal way to find all substring and find
the maximum length?
Ans: Time constraint and given that the length of the given string might be very large.
Ans: Think of a worm on a floor and how it moves. It expands forward and then contracts from
backward. So think a worm is moving on a written word.
Forward = deque.push_back();
backword =deque.pop_front();
I gave him this hint and let him explore a bit with his code himself about the concept and make it up
in his mind.
To get students excited for a technology-based session or event, what I have taken are three major
conclusions:
1. A sense of credibility has to be placed in the minds of students towards the host, to get them to
pay attention to the event itself. I have established this sense of credibility towards myself by
performing well in LinkedIn Local NITJ. Although, as a student partner in Microsoft, this is
automatically instilled.
2. Targetted content writing with a hint of open for all helps a lot.
By this, I target the students towards whom the event is specifically targetted. Although, it is made
very clear that anyone with a knack of learning and who enjoys new experiences is always
welcomed.
Having experience of such writing in 10+ events of LLNITJ, I believe I can replicate that as an MSP.
I have had experience with both. Also, LLNITJ would love to collaborate with the events I conduct as
an MSP. This gives and added marketing reach.
