Nostradamus
A Man Who Saw the Future
In Saint-Remy-de-Provence, France, in 1503 a child was born
who later treated victims of the plague in France and Italy. Not
much is known about his childhood. What we know is that he
was a very intelligent child, he managed to pass school quickly
and without difficulties. He studied Greek, Latin, Hebrew and
Mathematics, and his grandfather taught him astrology. At age
14 he entered the University of Avignon to study medicine.
This man became a world celebrity, not because of his medical
skills, but because of his predictions. There were and there are
people who believe that Michel de Nostradame, better known
as Nostradamus, could see the future. His prophecies are
known to this day and some still believe that what he said
hundreds of years ago will come true in the future.
