• The Cisco Catalyst 3750-X is an enterprise-class stackable switch.
• These switches provide high availability, scalability, security, energy efficiency, and ease of
operation with innovative features such as Cisco StackPower, IEEE 802.3 and Power over
Ethernet Plus (PoE+) configurations, optional network modules, redundant power supplies,
and Media Access Control Security (MACsec) features.
• Cisco Catalyst 3750-X Series with StackWise Plus technology provides scalability, ease of
management and investment protection for the evolving business needs.
• The Cisco Catalyst 3750-X enhances productivity by enabling applications such as IP
telephony, wireless, and video for borderless network experience.

• This table provides high-level comparisons of available models in the Catalyst 3750-X
Series.
• The 3750X-12S-S and 3750X-24S-S chassis use 12 or 24 1-Gig SFP instead of the
standard 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports.
• Note that all models support network modules with four 1-Gig Small Form-Factor
Pluggable (SFP) or two 10-Gig SFP+ uplink ports.

• The Catalyst 3750-X has several main field replaceable units
(FRU): network module, power supply and fans, StackPower
cables, and a SFP/SFP+ transceivers.

• StackPower shares available power across multiple switches in a stack.
• StackPower decouples a Power Supply from its physical location in the stack!
• Up to 4 switches can be part of StackPower and they are independent from
StackWise or StackWise Plus.
• StackPower Reduces the number of total Power Supply required for a Stack of
switches.
• Devices can be placed in standby when not in use.
• The power supplies can be turned on and off to maintain peak AC to DC
conversion efficiency in a stack.
