Autobiography

Hi! My name is Kathya Salinas and I’ve always been that person who loves trying out new
things. I always remember how I used to join every single extracurricular activity my
school used to have. But after years of dropping and picking up hobbies, I decided to stick
to music, playing in an orchestra, becoming a multi-instrumentalist, joining my high school
choir, and playing for Casa Azul del Arte’s folkloric band for many years.

As you can tell, I love music, and it will always be something really important in my life for
many reasons. Because of music I developed an interest on learning the English language,
and here I am now: studying to be an English teacher. For that, I practiced a lot by myself
but something that really helped me was participating in the English Access Program of
2018-2019. I learned a lot in those two years and I absolutely adored and looked up to my
teachers. I mean, I even dare to say they are one of the main reasons why I applied for
university and now I’m in this career.

Besides that, I have lots of other hobbies. But I think this was good enough!
