1. Technology:
a. Forbs.com/2018
 Objective
 Research Methodology
 Main Findings
b. Sida Feng, Christopher L. Magee/ 2020
 Objectives: To provide both broader and more detailed
information about technology development in the EV field,
unlike most previous studies on electric vehicle innovation
which analysed this field as a whole
 Research Methodology: Quantitative research method
 Main Findings:
a. The estimated rates of performance improvement per year
are 18.3% for power electronics, 7.7% for electric motors,
23.8% for charging and discharging and 11.7% for
batteries. The relatively lower improvement rate for electric
motors and batteries suggests their potential to hinder the
popularization of electric vehicles.
b. The technology trajectories depict the development of four
critical subdomains over time, which quantitively proves
the focuses and emerging topics of the subdomains.
c. The key players in the four critical subdomains appear to be
Toyota and Honda in hybrid power electronics, E-One Moli
Energy Corp in lithium-ion batteries, Panasonic in
Permanent Magnet motors and Toyota in discharging.
c. Xiaoli Sun, Zhengguo Li/ 2019
 Objectives: To provide technical development of EVs and
emerging technologies for their future application. Key
technologies regarding batteries, charging technology, electric
motors and control, and charging infrastructure of EVs are
summarized.
 Research Methodology: Qualitative and Quantitative research
methods
 Main Findings: The technical challenges and emerging
technologies for the improvement of efficiency, reliability, and
safety of EVs in the coming stages as another contribution.
d. Amir Khajepour, Zhenhe Li/ 2019
 Objectives: To analysing the existing pure electric vehicles
types.
 Research Methodology: Qualitative research method
 Main Findings:
a. The challenges faced by pure electric vehicles
b. The latest development of pure electric vehicles
c. Energy sources used in pure electric vehicles

2. Environment
a. Marta Moses/2020
 Objective: To study how EVs can save the enviornment
 Research Methodology: Qualitative methods based on
secondary data
 Main Findings: electric vehicles improve the air quality.
Pure electric vehicles do not produces the CO2

b. Monika Skvarnaviciute, Jolanta Dvarioniene/ 2019

 Objective: to study the comparative environmental life
cycle of battery electric vehicle(BEV) and internal
combustion engine vehicles(ICEV).
 Research Methodology: life cycle analysis methods on the
basis of qualitative reseach method.
 Main Findings: In 2020-2050 electricity mix scenario oil is
expected to be eliminated and the use of renewable energy
sources will get increased. Internal combustion engine
vehicles are expected to be most polluting as compared to
BEV in 2020.

c. Dale Hall and Nic Lutsey/ 2018

 Objective: To study enviormemtal impact when EV will
get spread all over the world.
 Research Methodology: Qualitative method beased on
secondary data.
 Main Findings: A typical electric vehicle produces just
half of the greenhouse gas emission of an average passenger
car. An electric car is almost 30% cleaner over its life cycle
as compared to the most efficient internal combustion
engine vehicle.
