Read the scenario below. 

John is the Manager of a five star hotel in the north. Lately guests have been complaining of
severe stomach aches after dining at the restaurant. Housekeeping staff have been mixing
chemicals without reading instructions, resulting in a number of them fainting on the job.
Something has to be done soon.  John asks you to develop a health and safety pamphlet for
employees.

Task: Create a health and safety pamphlet highlighting the following information; 

  Explain what measures should be taken by employees to ensure their personal

safety in the workplace. 
 Indicate why it is important to follow safety procedures in the workplace
 Describe the reporting procedures that are in place in the case of personal illness or
injury. 
 Explain why it is important to maintain good personal hygiene
 Discuss why correct clothing, footwear and headgear should be worn at all times.
 Explain why, and to whom, accidents and near accidents should be reported
 Illustrate safe lifting and handling techniques that they must follow.
 List the types of common hazards found in the workplace
  Identify the types of emergencies that may happen in the workplace
 Explain why first aid procedures should be in place
  List possible causes of fire in the workplace
 Discuss fire safety procedures for the workplace. 
 Identify the security procedures that should be in place. 

Your Health & Safety Pamphlet should be prepared in a word document and should include; 

A cover page / Table of Contents / A combination of text and pictures should be used to

enhance the presentation of your Health & safety Pamphlet
