Copy SIS DVD Data to Hard

Drive or Network Folders

SIS DVD data may be copied to network folders or to
external drive folders in order to avoid inserting DVD’s.
Internal hard drives will work as well.
The process is the same for all methods. It does take time
to copy several Gigabytes per DVD of information from a
DVD to a hard drive. Current data for all eight DVD’S is
over 50 Gigabytes of data.
The setup disk will have to be run on each PC in order to
update to a newer version of SIS data.
It is also necessary to provide the path for each folder in
the SIS DVD Configuration.
Create Folders to receive the SIS
DVD Data

E: is the external drive name. Folders labeled Disk 1 through Disk 8

are created on the E Drive.
Add Folder Locations in the SIS DVD
Configuration Data Location
Start SIS DVD if necessary.
Left click the SIS DVD icon in
the lower right corner of
Windows. Select configuration.

Use the ADD

button to add the
drive path for all
eight folders
created in the
previous step.
Copy SIS Data from each DVD to the appropriate Hard Drive
or Network Folder

Insert SIS Disk #1 in the DVD

drive. Select all files and then
copy the folders and file to the
Disk 1 external hard drive or
network folder.

Continue copying data from each SIS DVD data disk to the
appropriate folder on the network drive or external hard drive.
SIS will no longer prompt for the
appropriate SIS DVD.
It will no longer be necessary to insert the appropriate SIS
DVD provided the data is copied to folders on a network
hard drive or external hard drive and the path to the folders
are added in the SIS DVD configuration section.
It is not necessary to copy all SIS DVD’S. Any of the SIS
DVD’s may be copied to a hard drive. The user will be
prompted for the DVD if the data is not available and the
DVD drive path is provided in the configuration.
