1. For three of the viewpoints identified in the student registration system, suggest services which
might be provided to that viewpoint, data which the viewpoint might provide and events which
control the delivery of these services.
Answer:
Obviously, there are many alternatives to the solutions suggested here. Note the
Registration conflict is deliberate.

Viewpoint : Administrators
Services : Access to the student registration system shall be restricted to accredited users of
the system.
Data : The system shall provide a facility that allows the form interfaces for filling, access
the student information and storing the student data on the database.
Events : The system shall allow necessary verification method to confirm the user data.

Viewpoint : Users
Services : The system shall be accessible from any location, including locations away from
the university campus.
Data : It shall be able to register the user (student) information, and then can submit
their data to store in the system.
Events : The student registration system shall be configured so that only showing the
related data for specified student.

Viewpoint : System managers

Services : The student registration system shall provide a backup facility for user’s personal
data.
Data : The system shall be available for a range of platforms including Windows 2000,
Windows XP and Mac OS X.
Events : The restart time of the student registration system after failure shall not exceed 5
minutes.
