The manuscript uses Kamatz and Patach interchangeably interchangeably and does the same thing with Tsere and
Segol. This may reflect the dialect of Hebrew preserved in the Sephardic pronunciation of Hebrew as well as the so-
called Palestinian Pointing (Nikud Eretz-Yisraeli).

Hufal 3rd masculine plural perfect “ שׂוםthey were placed”. The Historical Dictionary of the Academy of the
Hebrew Languages has 20 instances of this exact form.
