Dear Sir, In connection with the above, a preparatory joint inspection by a team consisting of KRCL and CBPU field officials was carried out on 03.11.2011 During the joint inspection, it was observed that: i) In one of the ‘Welding Positioner for Main Girder, the support plate for flange and heating arrangements are not yet completely ready. i) _ In both the ‘Welding Positioners for Main Girder’, supporting arrangement for the web plates is incomplete. iii) The jack arrangements shown in the drawing for “Welding Positioner of Main Girder’ (No. 2612/DSN/TWIJIG/105 Job No.2612 sheet 2 of 2) is not available. This needs to be reconciled iv) Positioning and levelling of all the four Jigs and Fixtures for fabrication and assembly of deck segment has not yet been done. The CBPU officials stated then that it would take ebout one month time to get the above arrangements ready before offering the facilities for inspection of RDSO.
