Essential Question:

How does mapping the Philippine literary landscape of the past help Filipinos live
their lives meaningfully?

Its essence is to let Filipinos know the literature of before and after our country has been
colonized by foreign countries. To let them know that even after experiencing war and
colonization, the literature that was used before is still used by now. Even though different
techniques or formats of literature from other countries have started to spread. Since every
Filipinos are diverse from each other. Resulting in formation of many cultures and different
styles of literature. Also for us to learn that even if almost hundreds of years have passed, the
literature that our ancestors have started since then are still being used in the present time if
not most then some people. Because even though we are separated by oceans and lands, our
literature divides us from others on different aspects.
