‘AN ORDER PROHIBITING, BARRING, AND SUSPENDING THE NON-ESSENTIAL ENTRY
OF PERSONS TRAVELLING BY LAND, AIR, AND SEA WITHIN THE CITY OF OZAMIZ TO FULLY
PREVENT AND FURTHER CONTAIN THE SPREAD OF COVID-19 FROM 12:00 NOON OF 18
MARCH 2020 UNTIL 12:00 NOON OF 31 MARCH 2020,
‘AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES:
WHEREAS, the undersigned pursuant to Proclamation No. 922 s. 2020 of the President of
the Repubiic, issued on 14 March 2020 an Executive Order No. 2020-SFO-10 instituting
Preemptive Measures to combat the spread of COVID-19 within the City jurisdiction;
WHEREAS, recent events indicate that despite enforcement of preemptive measures
Within its tertitorial jurisdiction, the City is stil prone and susceptible to the entry and influx
of non-residents whose idenlilies and itineraries’ have to be verified, compounded by
the fact that majority of those referred fo the Mayor Hilarion A. Ramiro Sr. Medical Center
‘are non-residents, thereby exposing further Ozamiznons to unwarranted risk and exposure
fo the contagion, unnecessarily taxing ils meager resources;
WHEREAS, there is an imperative necessity of enhancing Executive Order No. 2020-SFO-
10 series of 2020 by implementing border security and quarantine protocols in
accordance with the rules and advisories promulgated by the Depariment of Health and
to harmonize the same with the Executive Order No. 42 series of 2020 of the Provincial
Govemment of Misamis Occidental:
NOW, THEREFORE, |, SANCHO FERNANDO “ANDO” F, OAMINAL, City Mayor of Ozamiz, by
virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby DECLARE that:
Section 1. The CITY is under COMMUNITY QUARANTINE due fo the high tisk of local
transmission from people coming from abroad, Metro Manila, and other places,
Section 2. The entry of alll land, air, and sea travel effective 12:00 o' clock noon,
Wednesday, 18 March 2020 is hereby prohibited and suspended until 12:00 noon of 31
March 2020, unless earlier revoked or extended.
2.1 Tourists, visitors, and returning residents willbe denied entry during this period,
2.2 The entry of goods and supplies, however, will not be affected. Provided,
that coniers thereof wil be able 10 show pertinent documents, showing ils
origin and recipient/consignee, among others,
2.2.4 Carer of goods by land is imited to only one (1) dkiver and one (1)

2.2.8. Carriage of goods by sea will be allowed, however

UNTIL 12:00 NOON OF 31 MARCH 2020, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
Operation of barges plying the route of Mukas to Ozamiz and vice
versa, ore temporarily prohibited.
2.3 The following are exempted from the prohibition and/or suspension of entry
as stated herein:
2.3.A Individuals who are seeking immediate medical attention,
which will be assisted by policemen until they are admitted
to hospitals. Only two (2) adults will be allowed to

2.3.8 Authorized Health Care Providers and Emergency Frontline
Workers (with proper identifications) including law enforcers.
Law enforcers as used her ude, but are not limited to
uniformed personnel of the Philippine National Police and
the Armed Forces of the Philippines, authorized local
govemment officials and individuals; and
2.3.C. Individuals working in Ozamiz but are living outside the City,
Provided they can adduce proof of their employment in an
establishment or office within the teritorial jurisdiction of the
City, such as latest Cerlificate of Employment and/or valid
Employee Identification Card.

Section 5. Any person or entity who defies any section hereof shall be dealt with to the
full extent of the law.
Section 6. All orders andissuances inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed or modified
accordingly.
Section 7. It any part, section or provision of this Order is held invalid or unconstitutional,
other provisions not affected thereby shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 8. This order takes effect at 12:00 noon of March 18, 2020.
