Subject: Cleaning of the Central River and installation of a water treatment plant.

Dear Sir:
Akram G, one of the members of NGO Awaaz, has been involved in the
conservation of National Heritage Rivers for a long time.
An alarming concern is the rampant pollution, which has been taken place in the
central river for the last few years. 
Discharge of domestic and industrial effluent wastes, leakage from water tanks,
marine dumping, radioactive waste, and atmospheric deposition are major causes
of the pollution. Heavy metals that disposed of and industrial waste can
accumulate in lakes and rivers, proving harmful to humans and animals. Toxins in
industrial waste are the major cause of immune suppression, reproductive failure,
and acute poisoning. Infectious diseases, like cholera, typhoid fever, and other
diseases gastroenteritis, diarrhea, vomiting, skin, and kidney problem are
spreading through polluted water. 
As part of a suggestion, a water treatment plant can be installed and purification
methods can be undertaken. Like instead of using chemical fertilizers organic
gardening techniques can be used, people should Deal with household chemicals
and medicines properly, etc.
