In a developing nation like Bangladesh, an effective formal education system is essential for national
development. Globalization has created tremendous impact on education in Bangladesh as the education
system has changed to be qualitative to meet international standard. It has also brought windows of
opportunity for the students through the usage technology. Adapting technology provides limitless
opportunities for lifelong learning for all and also ensures flexibility. The educational institutions have
shifted to e-learning platforms as sustainable strategy to provide education to the students during this
pandemic. For example, a lot of schools and university have adapted the use of technology for doing
virtual classes by using Zoom, Google classroom and Moodle. BRAC University have successfully launched
e-learning platform “BuX”. Features such as online video lectures, assignment submission and grading,
self-assessment exams, file sharing, consultation recordings, online grading and assessments are offered
by “BuX” platform. This online learning platform is widely accepted, saves time, flexible, eco-friendly as it
eliminates the need to use paper and costless. Apart from “BuX” social medias are used to create groups
for each section so that students can communicate with the teachers through messaging. Teachers are
also using Google Meets and Zoom for consultation hours to connect with the students.
