Class development

Introduction
To start the class, we'll introduce ourselves, telling the students our names and why we
are there ( Hello girls and boys. We are Miss Ghisolis and Miss Pérez and we are going
to spend some classes with you because we are teachers to be ).

The teacher introduces the booklet which students are going to work on, and invites the
students to have a look at it. Then, the teacher asks the students to go back to the page
1.

Pre-task
Booklet page 1. Unit introduction. Teacher writes 'eieevcdtt ' on the board and ask the
student to guess the word (detective). Then the teacher asks students to name some
famous detectives, eg. Sherlock Homes.

Main Task
Listen and follow the thief. Students look at the picture and say what they see. Teacher
checks understanding of thief on town. Teacher plays the recording and students follow
the thief's trail on the map.

Follow up
Students name the rest of the town's places and say what other places they know. Then
complete the activity 1 and 2. Booklet page 2.

Evaluation
The blackboard will be used to check what students have done in their handouts.
