How did Pakistan derived its name.

”Pak” means sacred the meaning of the name is

Sacred place.

It was derived by Choudary Rahmat Ali. He was a student of Cambridge University in

London, who published a pamphlet in 1933. In that pamphlet he discussed about the
future of Muslims in India and demanded that a separate nation be given.

In that pamphlet he pronounced the name of “Pakistan”.

After Independence, he came to Pakistan from London.

It is first time he came out of London.

Within 15 days Pak government arrested him.

Reason being that he made some remarks against the government. He was kept in jail
and confiscated all his property.

He was boycotted from Pakistan and sent to London without any money.

He died in 1951, February in a very poor condition in UK.

There is a question who should bear his cremation charges.

After 40 hours of discussion, Pak government agreed to bear the cremation charges.

His grave is in London.

Next comes Mohd. Ali Jinnah.

He claimed that he along with his type writer created the Pakistan.

He was honored as founder of Pakistan.

He was diagnosed as TB patient within days of forming Pakistan.

In those days TB is considered as no cure disease .

He became very ill in Quetta and brought to Karachi by Plane.

His own car and Ambulance was waiting at Karachi Airport.

He was brought in stretcher and embarked in Ambulance. His own car followed the
Ambulance.

On the way the ambulance stopped due to some repair. The persons of Ambulance tried
to shift him to his car, but he was not in a position to sit.

Then again he was shifted to Ambulance and the persons tried to bring another
Ambulance.

As there were no Mobile Phones at that time, it took a while to bring another
Ambulance.

Meanwhile, Jinnah went in to coma and in that state he was shifted to Hospital.

But he was found dead at the destination.

Now let us come to Liyakat Ali Khan.

He was one of the persons who fought for Pakistan.

He was the PM of Pakistan and made an agreement with his counter part Nehru
regarding treatment of Minorities in their respective countries.

But, the persons who dislike him has assassinated him.

After that temporarily two or three PM’s have rule and finally, Army has taken
over.

Now another freedom fighter of Pakistan is Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy

He was an important leader in then East Pakistan , now Bangladesh.

He was the reason behind the direct action in 1946 where thousands of Hindus were
massacred in Bengal.

After Independence, Jinnah declared “Urdu” as national language of Pakistan.

But the irony is that Jinnah does not know Urdu. He can convey only in english.

So this imposition angered Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy. He fought against it.

He was jailed for that fight. Before that he worked as PM for Pakistan.

Just because he criticized some actions of Government, he was kept in Jail.

Another freedom fighter is Jafrullah Khan.

He was a lawyer and worked as lawyer in international courts and also worked as
External affairs Minister.

The sad part is he is Ahmadiya Muslim.

He was persecuted in his own country because of that.

In 1970, Pakistan declared Ahmadiyas as non Muslims.

So, according to that proclamation they can not call their religious places as
Masjids, they can not call themselves as Muslims. If that happens the will be
punished.

Even Quran words can not be written on their graves.

So the person who fought for a separate home land for mulims has been declared as
Non-Muslim. He died in 1980 with utter bitterness.

See what are the plights of the persons who fought for Pakistan.
