It seems that many teenagers looked (look) at driving as a right rather than as privilege that
they are having to earn. In order for young adults to take this privilege more seriously, many
states recently change their laws so that it is harder for teens to get a driver's license. I believe
this is a good change because I have saw (saw) many dangerous incidents with teenage drivers
since I had (have) gotten my license five years ago. I know that I was part of the problem when
was a new driver, and I am (was) in many near accidents. However, I was (am) lucky. In order to
keep everyone safe, I think that parents and lawmakers should prohibit teenagers below the
age of eighteen from driving at night, with friends, and on freeways. Most unsafe driving
seemed (seems) to occur when one of these factors is present. To make the restrictions easier
on teens, some cities have been (to) improve their public transportation systems. Though it will
have been (be) difficult for rural areas to expand public transportation, these improvements
and the changes in laws will keep drivers safer than they are now. Teenage drivers may be
upset at first, but if the changes are made, everyone is (will be safer) in the future
