Q. Who can join?

The Froth Blowers Order is open to anyone including your dog otherwise known as the Furry Bobs.

Q. It there an age criteria?

A froth blower vat may admit anyone of any age but obviously complying with local laws if the vat is
pub or bar based.

Q. Do have to be a beer drinker?

The original AOFB was an order that formed in the confines of pubs, bars and mess halls of which the
members quite happily consumed beer. The GAOFB recognize that times have moved on and more
inclusion is required, that’s why we now allow Lager. To also bring the order up to date we now
include the use of Coffee, Hot Chocolate and any froth holding beverage like Soda Pop, Milkshakes
and other non-alcoholic concoctions.

Q. Male, female?
The original AOFB was very forward thinking in many aspects of its membership and included the
ladies who wished to participate even before they got the full vote in the UK! In the GAOFB we
actively encourage female members to join and form Vats.

Q. You say that my dog can be a member?

As with the original AOFB a dog is a trusted companion and adequately provisioned to be a Froth
Blower and we are sure would be quite happy to tag along. As for cats, a provision could be made
but they don’t really care less about anything and would quite readily push your beverage holder of
the edge of the table.

Q. How do I join?
Presently and under the current circumstances we are accepting online applications which will open
soon. Vats that are forming can also take your application which is conducted online

Q. What is involved in joining?

Firstly you could either find a Vat near you or join online. Once a member we then arrange your
initiation into the order (more fun if there are a few of you). This can be with a Vat or online and
involves you uploading a video or doing a live feed. You will be conducted through the process which
takes a few minutes. You will be initiated then given the secret phrase of meeting a fellow froth
blower and shown the secret handshake of the froth blowers known as “The Stein”. You are then a
fully proofed Blower. Soon after you will receive your proof badge and membership card and other
FB goodies.

Q. So what does it cost?

The cost of membership is 50 Pounds sterling or the equivalent market rate in your country and is
for LIFE MEMBERSHIP which means once you have paid your toll there are no more membership
costs involved. The fee also includes all advancements in the order up to Grand Blaster. If payment is
an issue we can come to arrangements as we would not want to see anyone miss out.
Q. Are there any ongoing costs in being a member?
When visiting a Vat it is customary to pay a toll of entry which would equate to the price of a beer or
coffee and needs to be paid to the Cyclone on entry or whoever holds the charity barrel. After the
toll is paid you are then in position to blow and vote in any motion. You are also liable for any fine
imposed by the Vat (price of a beer or coffee) for any heinous crimes you may commit within the Vat
like forgetting insignia, loud bawdy jokes (unless it’s a really good one) and any other rule made up
by the Vat. The way of fine is to be tapped by the “Piffle Stonker” at which point you must pay the
fine or make other amends.

Q. Am I a member of a specific Vat?

As a member of the GAOFB you are a member of every Vat worldwide and can visit any without
invitation or notice (but shouting ahead would be good form). You are not a visitor of a vat but an
active combatant and subject to that Vats rules.

Q If there are no Vats in my area can I still be a blower?

Yes, with current technology you can be in the middle of nowhere and be a blower. The GAOFB has
an online Vat under the name of “WWW Vat 00” which every member can visit. The vat will be open
24/7 for mingling but will be open at least once a month. Any Typhoon can call and hold a meeting
of the WWW Vat 00 on approval from the Grand Typhoon or Grand Monsoon. In the case of a called
meeting of the WWW Vat 00 entry will be given via a small PayPal donation (price of a beer or coffee
of the presiding Typhoons jurisdiction). If there are no vats in your area, just form one !
