You will find below answers to the questions you sent through the Q&A. We have
received so many questions that we cannot answer to all of them, but we have
answered below to the questions that were the most often asked:

Question: Is a certification in Document Control recommended even if you have a degree or a

master's degree
Answer:

It would depend on the topic of the degree. But typically the degree is not specific to Document
Control (they tend to be on wider non-specialized topics), and does not cover the actual
knowledge and practices of that role in companies.
Document control practices are very particular and employers and recruiters want to ensure that
employees and candidates can meet the specific requirements of the role.
The Consepsys Certification is a professional certification designed specifically to focus on
Document Control, and is a unique framework to assess the knowledge and competencies of
participants. It has been designed by Consepsys and adopted and integrated by a significantly

Question: In which countries do you deliver face-to-face training courses? Is there for example
any training planned in North Africa (Algeria or Tunisia for example)
Answer:

We deliver face-to-face courses in United Kingdom, Europe (Netherlands), United States, Canada,
Australia, United Arab Emirates and Asia (Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bali). All our courses are
delivered in English language.
We do not currently have face-to-face sessions planned for North Africa, we have duly noted your
interest and we will let you know if a course session is planned there in the future.
However, wherever you are in the world you can attend:
our Live Online (virtual classroom): You will need a good internet connection, as well as a
webcam and a headset or earphones of good quality.

Question: Why is the salary of Document Controllers sometimes low in some countries?
Answer:

The salary of Document Control professionals highly depends on many criteria such as the country
cost of living, the industry you work in, and the awareness of the company to Document Control
and to the fact that it is a risk management measure.
We actually run a salary survey every year for Document Control professionals and the analysis
report helps benchmarking your current salary level to that of other professionals in the same
country/region or in the same industry.

Question: Which course would you recommend to guide me to develop a document control
system or procedure for my organization/ project?
Answer:

We would recommend first and foremost to attend the Certified Document Controller course (DCC)
in order to have a clear view and understanding of all processes and best practices to be covered
in the Document Control system and procedure for your organisation.

This course could then be complemented by the Advanced Document Control course (DCA) which
would help with the procedure writing and the preparation of presentations and/or by the Certified
Lead Document Controller course (DCM) which covers tools and method to drive that change in
your company.

Question: How does the online examination work?

Answer:

Consepsys has developed a cutting-edge certification examination environment, which ensures

the validity and integrity of the online examination. It also ensures consistency in terms of difficulty
and security, to maintain fairness and to create a reliable equivalence with the face-to-face
examination.
The level of security for online examination is very high. It includes validation of identity, scanning
of examination room, live exam invigilator and artificial intelligence to monitor the behaviour of
candidate and to prevent fraud (cheating). Cases of fraud or inadequate behaviour during the
examination will lead to disqualification. Clear examination ground rules are given in advance to
participants, so that they can prepare adequately.

In case of a pass mark, the candidate will receive, along with the Examination Pass Certificate, a
letter explaining the levels of security and antifraud measures taken during the exam. This letter
can then be presented to the candidate's employer to justify the level of certification.
