HOAX:CODE OF KALANTIAW

"The Code of Kalantiaw by Rajah

Kalantiaw was supposedly a legal
code", from that sentence, we can identify
how this code is not verified in the
Philippine history for it was stated on
several notes as "supposedly" which
means it is not a legal code as of today.
This code was famous on the Japanese
era and was stated from several historians
as a law designed by native Filipinos so
that they can establish their own code and
will not be called "barbaros" or barbarians.
However, it was discovered that this code
was actually written by José E. Marco, a
known fraud and a fabricator in the
Philippine History.
If we dig deeper, we can see how lack of evidences
makes this code nonsense in the eyes of several known
historians who studied this code, even if it is said to be true.
On the other hand, famous Filipino historians and teachers,
found out that this code is a hoax and on the fact that they
discovered that this was actually written by a famous fraud,
Marco, they concluded that this is not an actual code from
our forefathers but only a written document by Jose Marco
to be famous and swindle our culture.
Without proper documents or evidences that can
accurately depict an act, law, codes, scenarios, and the
history, it can't be written as a history worth to be published.
Maybe, it'll be on the minds of Filipinos or people who believed it happened but it will not
be proclaimed as true by researchers and of the law of our country.
Claiming this code to be owned by our forefathers is an honor as a Filipino, but, upon
discovering that this as a hoax, I am greatly ashamed. Why? This code is supposed to
be our treasure and will always be a part of our culture but due to some fabrications and
fraudulent practices of some people, including Marco, who is also a Filipino, it made me
ashamed that even a Filipino by blood can do some malicious acts to be acknowledged
in his own country. This is a lesson worth to be remembered.
"To see is to believe", whether on the internet or of the Philippine law codes, seeing
facts before believing so is a smart way to avoid misconceptions and for clarifications.
That is why we were taught about research and reviewing of the related literatures.
Our history is our culture. Our culture makes us a Filipino. As a Filipino, be
courageous to see if the information is true or not. Use your instincts. Defining truth is a
hard task but let's make our culture worth to be remembered and clean.
