Scenario 1: A new Flagship

SPMC has come a long way from managing IT infrastructure to creating digital
products for the people on campus. Till 2019 the flagship program is Cyberwars,
but now the committee thinks that we will need to upgrade the list of events.
case competitions and guest speakers are overused by committees, we need to
do something new and innovative.
As potential SPMC member, what do you think will suit the modus operandi of the committee. Come
up with plans for introducing a new flagship, purpose and operations/marketing. You can use Word,

illustrate your concept

Scenario 2: Spammers & Hackers

Recently there is an uptick of activity by Spammers attacking webmail IDs of the
students. It is observed that students are unable to differentiate the spam mails
from genuine mails and some less intelligent students who go to spam folder,
click and submit the information. SPMC has to come up with a solution to
protect the student base from the threat of leaking personal information like
email ID, password and bank account details to spammers and hackers.
As potential SPMC member, what do you think are the steps required to prevent this from happening.
Come up with plans or actions or systems or events or materials which will help Students to navigate.

Scenario 3: Is gaming just for fun?

Gaming industry has been a pioneer in strategies, UI, Sales funnels, and a lot
more knowledge into user behaviour. It is known for its strong network effects.
Cyberwars the flagship program of SPMC conducts games on campus every January. NFS, FIFA, CS GO
and PUBG are some games that saw huge participation last year. PUBG is banned and COVID makes it
uncertain when we can be on campus.

Assume that you are now the Commander in-charge. Your mission is to create plans for all possible
scenarios and ensure maximum participation from the students. Come up with plans or actions or
systems or events or materials to conduct Cyberwars. You can use Word, PPTs, Posters, Videos,
Flowcharts, GANTT Charts or financial models or any other tools to describe or illustrate your concept.

Scenario 4: Secure the funds
Given the number of initiatives and the costs involved, SPMC will face a huge
cash crunch. The recent initiative Konnect App can be further developed into a
robust platform of information but will cost of 3 Lakh. Selling Ad Space to
businesses makes users uncomfortable and administration is skeptical of
potential harm to reputation.
As potential SPMC member, tell us how you will tackle the funding problem. Consider all income
sources and resources. Draft a plan of actions or fund raising or events or materials to secure
funding/key resources for the app development. You can use Word, PPTs, Posters, Videos, Flowcharts,
GANTT Charts or financial models or any other tools to describe or illustrate your concept.

Scenario 5: Batchmail concerns

As per institute email policy, batch email can be sent from committee email IDs
to avoid unnecessary spamming. In case of pressing need, permission has to be
taken from SPMC before sending across a batch email.
A John Doe has taken up the role of a vigilante and sent an email to all stakeholders right up to the
director level to question concerns regarding the quality and hygiene issues in the mess and
threatened the administration to take action. His email has generated a lot of reactions and as a
release for pent up frustration across batches. They believed that this was a much-needed step to
bring attention to a legitimate concern and that this email should not be marked as spam.

As a potential SPMC member how would you deal with the situation? You will need to address the
vigilante and the batch in a mail, compose two mails aiming at the vigilante and the batch. Given the
scenario what else can SPMC do to assist students and prevent such incidents from repeating?

Scenario 6: Cyberwars Participation Concerns

Cyberwars is slated to begin in 4 days. However, the response from the batch is
bleak given the academic rigor and placements activities.
As potential SPMC members what do you think needs to be done to ensure maximum participation
and that no one is left out of the events. Suggest an innovative plan to increase participation. Keep in
mind that you have very less time in your hand to execute your plans. Draft a plan of actions or events
or materials to spread awareness of the same. You can use Word, PPTs, Posters, Videos, Flowcharts,
