I Will Not Let You Go
I Will Not Let You Go
And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not
let thee go, except thou bless me.
A small family band was moving slowly in the road from Pandaram with a huge herd of flock led
by the patriarch Jacob. They had received news of a great army coming against them, it was Esau
Jacob’s wild twin brother, the great hunter and now army commander. Esau was coming for
vengeance,
vengeance against the man that stole and his tricked him of his birthright,
revenge for the brother who cheated him of the blessing
to bring retribution on the brother who made him cry with bitter tears
he remembered his guilty before God, before his father and before his brother
he remembered how he cheated his father and betrayed his brother
he remembered how he was separated from his loving mother, never again to see her
Now he was reliving his experience, separated from his family he sought for a lonely place to
thing and pray when he felt a touch from a strong mighty hand. He began to wrestle with man,
the whole night they wrestled until day break when this man gave him a special crippling touch
that made him realize he was actually wrestling with an angel, wrestling with God… he then
held on to God and told him, I will not let you go until you bless.
It is time to tell God I will not let you go until you bless me, therefore child of God:
No matter what your circumstance many be, however impossible the situation may be, remember
God is able, he will see you through, and he will do it again for you.
