Breweries around the world share common goal of creating a better world for all their stakeholders,

while also creating value for their business. The common sustainability goal among many breweries
is to reduce the carbon footprints they have been posing at the environment. Carlsberg is working to
reduce carbon footprints by 30%, AB InBev by 25%, and Heineken by 40%. All these companies are
also looking forward to adamant about using 100% of their electricity from renewable sources at
their breweries. Heineken aims to source at least 50% of its raw materials to come from sustainable
sources. AB InBev, on the other hand, follows "Smart Agriculture" practice, which aims at achieving
making 100% of their direct farmers are skilled, connected, and financially empowered. Zero water
waste is a practice all the breweries wish. Carlsberg partnered with Desoleantor, a venture
specializing in low-cost sustainable desalination using solar energy. Heineken in Mexico donated 83
hectares of irrigations to NGO Restauremos El Colorado, which will help to bring the river back to life
and restore wetland areas in the Colorado River delta. Both Heineken and Carlsberg have
responsible consumption as one of their sustainability goals. Heineken's 2020 commitment is to
invest 10% of their media budget to support responsible consumption programs in every market
they sell or advertise. Carlsberg in 2020 plans to implement and measure compliance of global
brands with Digital Guiding Principles through a new centralized process.
