International Commodity Traders (ICT LLC) & World Gold Council

Introduction: Mr. Amitabh Singh Jolly is an industry veteran based out of UK with 20 years of
experience in Precious metals, India Entry and Leadership & Innovation consulting. He has taken up
multiple Global Strategy and Business Transformation projects and has consulted several industry
giants, start-ups, incubators as well as government agencies. He is currently the Country Director of
India at International Commodity Traders (ICT LLC) and Associate Member of World Gold Council.

About the Companies: International Commodity Traders (ICT LLC) is a SPV formed with the intent to
engage in trading of physical commodities in international marketplace. Their major focus is trading
gold (dore and bullion) and gemstones (diamonds), sourcing them directly from mines and large-scale
producers and taking them to international clients.

World Gold Council is the market development organization for the gold industry. Their purpose is to
stimulate and sustain demand for gold, provide industry leadership, and be global authority on the
gold market.

Rationale of this project: Mr Jolly has ideas on how to organize the marketplace in India in terms of
3 sectors – commodities trading, refurbished medical devices and Educational platforms. He along
with ICT LLC and World Gold Council are here to offer 3 projects for the students of FMS.

Project Title: Go to Market Strategy (Precious Metals, Medical Devices, Education Platforms)

Key Areas of Work: GTM Strategy, Marketing, Positioning, Business Development

Key Learning Areas: Marketing Strategy in Commodities, Medical Devices Industry & Education sector

Project 1: Business Strategy for Commodities Trading: Business Development for precious metals
(gold) trade in Indian market. Strategy to take raw gold to refineries and refined gold to customers
(B2B & B2C). Designing end to end strategy to identify and target the right customers and how to
reach them.

Project 2: Business Strategy for Medical Devices Marketplace: Strategy to organize the marketplace
for sale of refurbished medical devices in India. Identify target customers and how to reach them.
Ideate on developing an online portal for sale of these 2nd hand medical devices.

Project 3: India Market Entry in the Edu-tech/Health-tech sector: The intent is to bring Health-
tech/Healthcare/Edu-tech and educational companies from the UK/Europe/NAM region to set up
their bases in India and collaborate with their probable counterparts in India. Create centres of
excellence, knowledge exchange centres etc

Duration of project: 3 months

Tentative Start Date: 1st September

Tentative working hours: 20-25 hrs per week

No. of students required: 6-9 students (2-3 for each project)

Stipend: Rs. 10,000 per month + Substantial variable bonus basis work done

Any other incentive/perks: Certificate, Mentorship, Exposure to end-to-end strategy development
