For the realization of the exercises of VT, the model has

been defined which assumes each node, according to the typology. The Node Coordinator

is responsible for performing the following: 

Scanning (passive surveillance), is to conduct routine searches in sources of

information, in order to find matters of interest.

Monitoring (active surveillance), is to perform regular searches of relevant

information on defined topics. It is characterized by its nature researcher and

discoverer.

Search. Is to perform a search of information on a particular topic, for example, the

query is performed to the experts.

Watching. With the results of the scanning and monitoring, the information is

organized, analyzed and disseminated for decision-making in the

company (Escorsa and Maspons, 2003).

The beneficiary is responsible for performing the exercises corresponding to the

typology Scouting. Is to analyze concrete possibilities for research and

patenting (Polytechnic University of Madrid, 2012).
