Climate during Jurassic and Triassic period

Climates during Triassic period are said to be generally dry with either very
hot summers or very cold winters, but have warm and moist climate that is
suitable for rainforest growth in areas near the equator.
Climates during Triassic period continued to the Jurassic period for some time
but change because of the breakup of the super continent Pangaea. The oceans
formed form the breakup change the weather from the very dry climate to
humid tropical climate that thick forest began to appear.

Facts about Jurassic and Triassic period

Triassic period was the first of the three divisions of the Mesozoic era, which
is known as the “Age of Reptiles” because this is where dinosaurs first
appeared and continued towards the cretaceous period. It was during this
time the Pangaea started to breakup and form North America, Europe, Asia
(Laurasia) and South America, Australia, India, Africa, Antarctica
(Gondwanaland).
Jurassic period comes after Triassic period. Jurassic period is also known as
the “Age of Cycads” because of the diversity of seed bearing and palm like
plants that grew to be as tall as trees or as short as squat.
In Jurassic period is also known for the increase in numbers and diversity of
the dinosaurs and predators such as Allosaurus and Ceratosaurus appeared.
