MAPEH CAMPING ACTIVITY

INTRODUCTION

The main goal of these 3days/2nights outdoor activities of MAPEH Department of Ismael
Mathay Sr High School is to empower student-participants to improve their Physical, Emotional
and Mental in addition to Spiritual aspects and to prepare them in their lifelong journey.
Developmental activities are focused on the following; setting-up a tent, assembling of kindle,
knot-tying and meal cooking on the open fire. Likewise, students will learn new games and
actively participate in hiking or in a 30-minute of walking in green environment which would
provide a range of physical advantages like lower blood pressure, weight reduction and
decreased cardiovascular sickness. Some activities include fishing, DIY water filter, oil lamp,
safety, first aid and much more. These activities leads to an increased of confidence, improved
creativity and better self-esteem. Furthermore, it offers opportunity to develop social intelligence
through learning while mingling and cooperating with and among others while teamwork is
significantly improved. Moreover, they will learn to preserve and protect the environment
through proper waste disposal and tree planting.
