The Navy League STEM Institute is proud to announce that it will host the Naval STEM Exposition, a
one-day event that will highlight the importance of a STEM career in the naval workforce (civilian and
military). This event will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2015 from 10am – 2pm, at the Gaylord
Convention Center in National Harbor, Md. Hands-on exhibits range from Marine Corps robotics to
virtual flight simulators. Career exploration exhibits will allow students to understand the wide range
of careers needed to support our maritime nation and inform students on the type of education
needed to pursue fulfilling careers. Students in grades 6-12 are encouraged to attend and set the
direction of their education today to have the naval career of their future!

The event is FREE for both exhibitors and attendees and registration is now open. See registration

The exposition has two main areas of focus:

Career Track: Geared towards those in high school who are interested a STEM-related career.
Participants will be able to talk with industry representatives about STEM careers and the various
directions that are available.

Hands-On activities: Students will be able to participate in demonstrations with various STEM
activities to educate and bring more interest in STEM and its impact on our everyday life.

The Navy League STEM Institute wants to present as many different types of organizations and
companies as possible. Organizations and companies can express their interest in the link below and
detail their proposed contribution. The STEM Institute will notify organizations on March 15th, 2015 if
they are selected to participate.
