This Product Bulletin provides matrices which will allow you to map Cisco IOS software features to specific software release versions from
10.3 through 12.1. These matrices are intended to be used as references for determining or verifying that specific features are supported in
specific Cisco IOS software releases. For ease of use, these matrices are grouped by Technology Category, e.g., IBM, IP, LAN, WAN,
Switching, etc.
As an example, in order to determine which Cisco IOS releases support "TCP/IP Encapsulation," refer to the "IBM Features" matrix. Here,
all of the major IBM features within Cisco IOS software are listed in the first column. The check marks (X) in the adjacent columns indicate
the Cisco IOS software releases which support this feature. In this case, we find that "TCP/IP Encapsulations" is supported in Cisco IOS
releases 10.3, 11.0, 11.1, 11.2, 11.3, 12.0, and 12.1.
Unless otherwise noted, each feature was introduced in an FCS [x.y(1)] release.
These matrices will be updated with every major Cisco IOS software release in order to provide timely and up-to-date information. In addition,
these matrices will be posted and kept up-to-date on CCO at http://cco.cisco.com.
