OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS
CHARGING THE SCREWDRIVER (Diagram 4)
1.Plug the jack from the charger into the charging
socket on the rear of the screwdriver.
2.Plug the charger transformer plug into a 120v electric
power supply. Turn on the power supply if necessary.
The red LED at the rear of unit will illuminate and
remain on when the tool is connected to power
supply. The screwdriver is now charging. Charging
should take between 4 and 6 hours.
CHARGE STATUS INDICATOR (Diagram 5)
The screwdriver includes a charge status indicator on
the rear of the unit above the charging socket. Press
and hold the button under the row of LEDs to see the
charge level of the battery.( Such a check is not
applicable when the tool is charging or in use.)

---The screwdriver will operate but for optimum
performance the battery needs charging.
---The screwdriver is fully charged and is ready
to be used at optimum performance.

General Safety Rules
WARNING!
Read all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions listed
below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
The term "power tool" in all of the warnings listed below
refers to your battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
WORK AREA SAFETY
* Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
* Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or
fumes.
* Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause
you to lose control.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
* Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use
any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching
outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
* Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges
and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or
grounded.
* Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will
increase the risk of electric shock.
* Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power
tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or
entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
* When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use.
Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
PERSONAL SAFETY
* Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power
tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol
or medications. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in
serious personal injury.
* Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Safety equipment such as dust mask,
non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions
will reduce personal injuries.
* Avoid accidental starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before plugging in.
Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or plugging in power tools that have
the switch on invites accidents.
* Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key
left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
* Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better
control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
* Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelery. Keep your hair, clothing and
gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelery or long hair can be caught in
moving parts.

FITTING A SCREWDRIVER BIT (Diagram 7)
The screwdriver comes with a 1/4 inch hex chuck
Diagram 3 and extension bar. First put the extension bar into
the hex chuck, then select the screwdriver bit you
wish to use and put it in the extension bar.
To remove the bit, simply pull it out of the
extension bar.
NOTE: Do not use 1 inch long bits directly in the
hex chuck - use the extension bar. Do not use
double ended bit - only use the bit type provided.
SCREWING AND UNSCREWING (Diagram 8) Diagram 7
The direction of the screwing action is controlled by the two-way, two
-finger trigger on the driver. Press in the lower half of the trigger with your second finger

index finger to reverse the direction of the drive and unscrew a screw (3). Release the
trigger and the screwdriver will stop (2).

TOOL USE AND CARE 7. If the tool stalls, release the trigger immediately, reverse the direction of rotation and
slowly squeeze trigger to back out the bit.
